If you have had enough of Jordan North having a phobia for everything on I'm A Celebrity, Matt Hancock's languorous daily speeches regarding vaccines or the fact it feels like darkness lasts twenty hours a day then fledgling British indie-pop band SLYJYNX might have the perfect antidote. Despite lockdown and the closing of music venues, the five piece have gifted us several tracks online which showcase their creative abilities to sculpt multiple genres into one feel-good ensemble and " Help Myself " is no exception. Wallowing calmly between slow-funk, soul and synth-pop this as yet relatively unheard of gem typifies the band's current sound whereby seemingly discordant sounds are coaxed and nudged into something truly entrancing.
